Natural Materials
Every component of Briiv has been meticulously considered. Parts that are not biodegradable, such as glass, can be easily recycled. This leaves only the electrical components. We hope to be able to replace these in the future with more sustainable alternatives when technology allows us to do so in a safe way.
Commitment to Cleaner Air through Technology
Clean air is what it's all about. Reducing toxins, pollution, and fine dust in the air we breathe is proven to improve our health. Briiv is passionate about making people's lives better whilst doing as little harm to the planet as possible. To do this Briiv utilizes the latest technology proven by science in this mission
Designed to Return to the Earth
Using three natural filters, Briiv uses moss, coconut, and vegan micro-structures to filter air. Made from elephant grass and hemp, Briiv uses less plastic than any other air purifier on the market.
Sustainability
Reusability and recyclability: Most of Briiv’s components can be composted or recycled; our packaging is formed from recycled material, our filtration elements are either naturally occurring (moss and coconut) or sustainably sourced (ethical peace vegan) and the bioplastic housing is easily biodegradable.
Briiv is ethically packaged with sustainable plastic-free packaging and 100% biodegradable.
Briiv is a carbon-neutral company committed to continuing to be carbon-neutral in its activities via the purchase of carbon credits and reduction of carbon emissions across the board.
Briiv will plant one tree for every product sold.
Briiv eliminates designed obsolescence in their products so everything they sell is designed to last as long as it can without being outdated or engineered to fail after a set amount of usage hours.
They are also committed to upholding a circular mentality pledging to help repair and maintain products as long as they are in use and we are able to do so.
Briiv pledges to be animal friendly, either by removing animal-based products or ensuring that the sources of textiles come from certified sources where animals are well cared for.
eco-Problem and Health Problem
HEPA filters are typically made of either fiberglass or a form of polyester fibers and unfortunately, these materials are not recyclable and not biodegradable. 15,000,000 air filters were purchased in 2019 and the filter needs to be replaced every 6-8 months. Globally, 6,000 tonnes of HEPA filters are sent to landfills every year and it will take 1,000+ years for them to decompose.
In 2017 approximately 1.6 million people worldwide died as a result of indoor air pollution. The quality of the air within your home can have a huge impact on your health & well-being.
