I predict that by 2030 passengers will be flying in an aircraft powered by hybrid-electric engines. Last year United Airlines flew a scheduled flight from Chicago to Washington D.C on which one of the two engines was a SAF - 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
This eco- aircraft initiative, which will have a huge positive impact on our environment, is a five-year $260 million effort thanks to NASA, GE Aviation, Boeing and other partners.
